Several rumours recently doing the rounds place Microsoft in talks with developers and publishers of the classic Worms "strategy" series.

Apparently the much-loved and long-surviving title could eventually be available for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace as an Arcade game, although whether it would take the form of one of the more recent 3D based titles or (more likely) the classic 2D side-to-side scrollers is unclear.

This marks the second occurance of a major classic franchise possibly coming to Xbox Live Arcade, the first being Capcom's legendary beat-'em up, Street Fighter II.
